(More customer reviews)The Victorinox Swiss Army Officer's 1884 (model #24727) is actually a replacement for an earlier version (model #24227). The earlier version is no longer made. The new model is better in many ways. First, while the look is strikingly similar to the previous version, this model is slightly larger and quite a bit heavier. If you don't like a heavy watch - you might want to look elsewhere. The overall appearance has been improved by the use of raised metal numerals, and a larger, stronger crown. The crown movement feels very precise and smooth. This watch includes a Swiss quartz movement, date display, sapphire crystal, 100 meter water-resist, and my edition is keeping good time (to about 1 second gain in 3 days.) Overall, this watch just exudes quality and precision. And while this is not a super-expensive watch (nor super-cheap) - it has an understated beauty about it that says "Please wear me!" Highly recommended.
