Purchased this watch for about $200 from JC Penney in Aug 2009. It ran great for a year and a half, then one day it quit.
No worries, probably the battery I thought. Took it back to JC Penney for a battery.
Employee takes off back, tells me its no longer water proof. I'm shocked.
"You shouldn't wear it near water anyway", she tells me. "They just say its waterproof but its really not."
"But thats why I paid $200 for it" I tell her. She shrugs.
She puts in a new battery. Its still dead. She says something about a stretched gasket and can't get the watch back together. I leave with a baggie full of parts.
My warranty is no invalid. I'm ticked at JC Penney but also at Wenger.

A titanium case and bracelet band make the Men's Titanium watch especially durable and comfortable. The tough timepiece bears a pedigree too: Swiss company Wenger was one of the first manufacturers of the Swiss army knife in 1908, and the company applies the same exacting engineering standard to its products today. This eye-catching watch is no exception: water resistant to 330 feet (100 meters), this watch features a screw-on case back for extra protection against the elements, as well as a sturdy mineral crystal. Easy to read Arabic numerals adorn the black dial that also boasts a military time display and a date window.
