I needed a semi-waterproof watch for work because I wash my hands approximately 40-50 times a rotation. It was also important to have a watch that can stand up to bleach and other antimicrobials. This watch fits the bill. I own watches from Tag Heuer, Victorinox, and Raymond Weil(my wife does not want me wearing them to work since she purchased them). Before the Sealander I wore an old Suunto watch to work which looks dated.
Pros: it has yet to lose time. Water has not been an issue (I have only had this watch for a few weeks). It is "chunky", heavy, and has a very bright colored face. The crown screws tight to keep water out of the case. The movement is Swiss. The luminescence is only rivaled by my Tag Searacer. The look of the sub-dial second hand is pretty cool.
Cons: the bracelet does not feel like its solid stainless steel but hollow (it is lighter then many other bracelets). The clasp has opened sans assistance. The date is very small. I have been spoiled with sapphire crystals as this mineral one has a very small, unnoticeable to most, scratch.
I would recommend the Hanowa Sealander for anyone looking for a solid stylish watch at a great deal. I have also purchased the green Sealander.

Update-- Still working great and keeping exact time. Water has not been a problem. The bracelet has exceeded my expectations as it has not gotten scratched or dinged. I may of been a little too critical of the clasp as it has not opened by itself since my first post. I have hit the mineral crystal many times without chipping or noticeable scratching. This watch remains a steal for the price.
Side note-- re: the review in which they awarded only one star because of water damage. I bet they did not completely screw in the crown.

A flash of color against clean steel makes the Swiss Military Hanowa Men's Sealander 316L Stainless Steel Orange Dial Watch quite the eye-grabbing timepiece. Sturdy stainless steel makes up the large case, featuring a dark gray bezel marked with thick orange lines and Arabic numerals at fifteen minute intervals. The orange dial hosts thick black-lined hour and minute hands ticking above a black subdial featuring the seconds in white lines and numerals. Pale green lines sit just below blocky black Arabic numbers at each hour mark, while the red and gray Swiss Military cross appears for the 12 o'clock. A small calendar display near the three o'clock hour gives the date. The green inside both hands and the lines gives a soft glow in the dark, allowing you to tell the time regardless of where you and your watch are. The band consists of tightly linked steel pieces for a close fit and smooth feel, closing with a fold-over push-button clasp. Water resistant up to 660 feet (200 meters), this bold timepiece boasts the reliability of Swiss quartz movement.
