It IS a mechanical watch (no batteries) so if it is not worn every day or wound once a day when not worn-- it will stop. It is within one SECOND a day of being dead accurate. I wish some of my other mechanical watches like my Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon midsize were as accurate as this Swiss Army watch. It is as accurate as my Omega and costs an eighth of the price. I would not hesitate to buy another Swiss Army watch. The watches are well made, well finished and are a bargain.
