Wanted an orange watch for diving, so I decided to get this one after looking at multiple forum reviews of this watch and a similar looking Invicta. My desire was to get a watch that I could dive with for a trip to Moorea in French Polynesia. I didn't want to bring my Omega along just in case it got stolen or lost, and I wanted something with a bit of the Omega Planet Ocean look...
Anyway, this watch is actually quite nice and attractive. It has quartz movement, and is quite accurate with timekeeping. I like the combination of black face with the orange bezel. Other subtle things also nice like how the band is highly polished on the sides, but brushed on the top. Overall, I'm very happy with this watch and it served its purpose well. BTW, the links can be shortened by pushing the pins out and then replacing them. Easy to do if you have the right tools.
Three things about this watch - the date indicator is kind of at the 4 o'clock position, which is a little strange to me, but functions fine nonetheless. Also, the side "guards" near the screw-down crown stem are a bit prominent, which is also kind of a distinctive feature / look. The mineral crystal is slightly domed which is also a unique feature.
BTW, I also got an Orient Orange Mako at the same time (word of advice - price shop also at Orient's website) - basically a similar looking watch except the black and orange are reversed (black bezel with orange face). Both are excellent watches, although the Orange Mako is an automatic watch whereas the Wenger is quartz. As another user noted, the second hand doesn't quite match up with the ticks but this is not all that uncommon with a quartz watch.
