(More customer reviews)I bought this watch primarily for its attractiveness, unique look, and clear moon phase indicator. I'm not disappointed at all. You should know that the large red hand is the tide indicator (not a seconds hand) and that the tide functions only work for Atlantic tides. And no, like most formal watches, there is no illumination. The watch feels nice and solid, is well balanced on my wrist, and keeps excellent time. For those looking for a practical, less expensive fishing watch I'd recommend the Casio Men's Pathfinder Fishing Watch.
