At under $600 what else can you say?? Only thing that comes close to that is the Tissot PRC200 Automatic which I owned for about 20 seconds and sent back immediately for a defect but also because it felt like a crackerjack toy in comparison.
The ChronoPro 241187 is my third Victorinox but my first Automatic of theirs. It is always so very surprising the value for money with them and I have always found their quality and reliability to be outstanding. This ChronoPro is almost identical to the current $1,600 offering with a slightly different dial and a busier bezel with the Tachymeter around the outside vs. under the crystal.
Value for money just can't be beat! A great Swiss Automatic!

This watch offers a bold black dial with three white chronograph subdials, Arabic numeral indexes, luminous hour and minute hands, a red second hand, a date window at six o'clock, and a tachymeter scale on the outer dial. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective finish protects the face, while a stainless steel bezel holds it in place. The watch's 42-millimeter stainless steel case features a screw-in exhibition caseback, along with a screw-down crown and screw-down chrono pushers. This precision timepiece utilizes mechanical self-winding movement. It is held in place by a black calfskin band with contrast stitching and a push-button deployment buckle clasp. This Chrono Pro Watch is water resistant to 330 feet (100 meters).

(More customer reviews)To begin with, let me admit that I'm a bit new to the mid-priced market for watches (I own two Citizen 8700 Eco-Drive Watches as well.), so keep this in mind as you read my review. I've owned this watch for more than 9 months now and would say that it is just about perfect. Here's the nitty gritty:
Pros:
* Sapphire crystal: I now know it's a necessity, not just a feature. My crystal looks like it did the day I bought the watch.
* Excellent, nearly flawless styling
* Strong, durable bracelet and housing
* Does a satisfactory job of keeping time
Cons:
* Would have preferred a screw-down crown
* Day of month needs to be adjusted for those months with fewer than 31 days.
* The main second sweep hand functions as the second marker for the chronograph rather than for time-keeping -That is left to the lower-middle dial (I realize this may be common for this type of watches, but I still don't like this feature.).

Unfortunately, shortly after I received it, I noticed the chronograph hands did not return to the "zero" position, even after pressing the correct button. There were no instructions as to how this problem should be corrected. It was a concern to me that a new watch would arrive in this condition and I returned it within a few days. It may not be the most expensive watch in the world, but it is also not a cheap one either; and I expected more in this price range.
