Wenger Women's 7511 Escort Swiss Watch Review

Wenger Women's 7511 Escort Swiss Watch

I gave this watch to my wife Christmas 2008. So far it has kept perfect time. She is constantly getting compliments on it from coworkers and professionals she meets through her job as a Special Ed Director. She is extremely pleased with it. The only problem we've experienced was the band came apart but she runs marathons and the constant soaking with sweat finally got to the threads holding the leather together. No big deal, would happen to any leather band. Since she can tear up an anvil with a rubber hammer, the fact that the watch runs at all speaks volumes about its durability. If it ever fails would certainly buy another like it.

Citizen Men's BM8180-03E Eco-Drive Canvas Strap Watch Review

Citizen Men's BM8180-03E Eco-Drive Canvas Strap Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered this watch from Amazon and it arrived before the estimated delivery date. I love the watch, and it looks much better in person than in pictures on the web. Quality is very good and the hands line up perfectly. The luminova is evenly applied and lasts longer, actually all the way through the night, which I didn't think would be the case. The only feature I don't like is the canvas band, which I found uncomfortable. I'm sure it's fine for others, but still a black leather band for less than (...)(any jewelry store or online store) compliments the watch very well, and it no longer looks like a 'weekend watch'. One small point about the Eco-drive that some other reviews I've read overlooked: Citizen Eco-drive models DO have a battery. The solar cell stores energy in a rechargeable mangenese-titanium battery. The battery should last a very long time according to Citizen engineers who project that even after 20 years the battery should retain 80% of recharge capacity (on their website), but only time will tell... no pun intended. Speaking of time, the watch is pretty accurate. I've had the watch for one month and during that time it has lost less than one second when compared to the US national time (www.nist.gov). In sum: this is a very well constructed watch that I feel is worth the money.

Wenger Swiss Military Men's 72915 Classic Field Military Watch Review

Wenger Swiss Military Men's 72915 Classic Field Military Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I think before I say anything about this watch, that I was given one of these as a present for Christmas many years ago. I wore it every day for probably about 4 to 5 years and I can assure you that this watch is exactly the same as the one I got. Whats the problem you might ask? My parents got it for me at Walgreens for about 15 dollars. This is priced at about 115 dollars on here as I write this, what the heck?
Anyway, more on topic to the watch.
First off, I was never annoyed with this watch on any level. It is pretty damn comfortable and simple. Its easy to read while moving around or running. Its extremely simple to change the time and date (like on most watches) and its not pretentious in looks or colors.
That said though, there are a couple things to note. The watch band is a strange nylon and fake-leather at the ends and on the latch. While this never proved to be a problem on the comfort, style or durability level (at least for 4 or 5 years), it proved to be a problem later when the watch band started to smell in the nylon parts. Since it is a bunch of strands of nylon weaved together, it absorbs sweat over time and the smell basically never comes out. This is only noticeable (in my case) when you are specifically smelling the watch, which during regular use doesn't happen anyway.
The watch in terms of mechanical durability is pretty wicked. Considering I got it when I was just 12 years old, I bashed it around like crazy and not only does the watch still work, but the outer shell and the crystal is still completely unscratched. The watch's only weakpoint is the strap. While the nylon is brilliant in terms of lightness, breatheability and strength, the pseudo-leather at the latch and the ends of the strap are not nearly as strong. They finally after years of constant use gave way and its ripped on the bottom connecting point and one of the latch holes seems to have cracked the leather, meaning its being held together just by the stitched on outer black shiny layer.
However, remember that I was merely 12 when I started wearing this. I probably had no sense of material preservation and therefore, I cannot say it was treated with care during its lifetime. So then in the sense of durability, I have to say this watch definitely went above and beyond the call of duty considering it costed just 15 dollars and we only had to replace the battery only once.
The face of the watch is dreadfully simple. Most would say the lack of bells and whistles makes this bad, but it actually makes it amazing on a number of levels. First off, remember that every extra dial and feature is just another thing to possibly go wrong. Also recall that those watches tend to use more battery power in the long term because of all the extra mechanical things the motor has to do. Finally, and most importantly, it means the watch is quick to read. I can't think of a situation where I had difficulty reading it (the numbers glow in the dark enough so you can see the numbers in pitch black, it works).
The watch holds its time pretty well considering how cheap it was. I estimated when I was younger that this thing was a second slow over the course of about 2 weeks (I knew this because I timed my watch to the second the bell rang, so I easily tracked this fact inadvertently over my years in middle school and high school).
There really isn't much else to say, now that I am 19 I can say that this was the best watch I ever owned. My most recent watch is an Armitron I bought at Walmart for 30 dollars. It got a major scratch (in my opinion) on the face of it, which is driving me nuts. Its why I am looking for a new watch now, and why I when I saw this watch, I felt the need to write a review.
I still have the watch, it held up honorably to a turbulent time in my life, so it should easily serve others as well as it served me.

Wenger Swiss Military Men's 70901 Ranger Military Watch Review

Wenger Swiss Military Men's 70901 Ranger Military Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I did not pick this up at Amazon but at a local store. I wanted to see the watch and have time to evaluate the quality. It is made of strong lightweight material. I have seen a few persons used to boat anchor watches I guess criticize the watch because they say it feels cheap. Well it feels lightweight to me not cheap and is on par with other watches using more space age light strong material. I am betting that it will hold up very well as my other 2 Wenger watches have. They keep excellent time and have very good luminescence. Typical Swiss watch quality. Having a unidirectional bezel is always a plus for flying or other sports.
Another great feature of this watch is the fact that the back can be removed by the owner to replace the battery in the field.
Since the bezel is polycarbonate and the case is steel coated with polycarbonate the watch should hold up under severe field conditions.
It is water resistant to 50 meters which should be adequate for most military and other field use.

Wenger Men's 72325 Battalion II Diver Swiss Watch Review

Wenger Men's 72325 Battalion II Diver Swiss Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this watch to replace an old Wenger that was looking a bit dated but still kept perfect time. Last time I had the old watch in for a battery, the watchmaker said it was a good watch with a very good Swiss movement. So Wenger was the first place I looked for a replacement. They seem to be reasonably priced for what you get. I am loving this new watch and how it looks on my arm. It is larger than the one it replaced, but does not look ostentatious or too big like a lot of watches you see now a days. I too removed the extra leather banding - I felt it held the watch too high off my arm and looked too bulky. The band does not seem too stiff to me, it has already softened up and is very comfortable - about two weeks of daily wear. The watch of course keeps perfect time. I like the rotating bezel (my old one had that feature too, and I do use it for things like when I put a steak on the grill). With it's clean, simple, masculine good looks, you can't go wrong with this Wenger 72325 Battalion II watch.

The black dial face is complemented by luminous markers and hands (with red seconds hand), small minute indexes around the outer edge, and a date window between 4 and 5 o'clock. I like the watch, it was as nice as I expected. However, I didn't like the band it came with and it was different (allegator look) from the picture shown (plain black band w/ white stitching). I didn't feel like going through the return process, so now I will have to look for a new band. Halfway happy w/ the purchase.
