Wenger Men's 7470 Commando Chrono Swiss Watch Review

Wenger Men's 7470 Commando Chrono Swiss Watch

(More customer reviews)
This is my third Wenger - the first was the "Wenger standard issue" watch I bought ten years ago and despite tons of use and a few new batteries is still ticking superbly - the second diver watch I gave to my brother for Christmas two years ago - and this one I just bought somewhat on a whim. I also have an ESQ dress watch.
The Commando arrived in four days in perfect condition. The case is beefy stainless steel -- aka imagine 3-4 Kennedy 50-cent pices stacked on top of the other. The leather band is also beefier than the photo shows. It took a few days to curve around my wrist, and is now very comfy - Wenger bands are wonderful. But the watch's best attribute is its cool factor.
The face has bold markings - making it the easiest of those I own to read without glasses, as well as in poor light. The black/white/red face is sleek, and despite the complexity of the dial, it's well laid out and easy to discern. The crystal has a magnifying quality, which helps readability as well.
No scratches yet, but I've only had it two weeks.
I've not gotten it wet, and try to avoid doing so despite the claim of water resistance.
Mostly, it's just a cool looking watch, like none I've ever owned, and I think it's a great addition to my (small) watch collection. Unbeatable quality for the price.

Men's Swiss Military Hanowa? Navigator Alarm Watch Review

Men's Swiss Military Hanowa? Navigator Alarm Watch

I have always been a fan of Swiss watches of all calibers. But, for the money, this one is hard to beat. I love this watch. I wear it out to dinner with my wife or out on the beach without a single concern. Many people have estimated the cost between $500 and $2000. Little do they know the real cost (cause I am not going to tell them).

amazon usually has the best prices, but not on watches. Bluedial beats them on most watches I checked.

From the maker of the genuine Swiss Army Knife comes the cutting-edge style of the Wenger Escort stainless steel men's chronograph watch. Unlike its more utilitarian brethren, the Escort adds a dash of high style to its precise Swiss timing. It offers a six-jewel quartz movement and a chronograph timer that can measure events to 1/10 of a second and up to 30 minutes. The tall, rectangular silver watch case frames black dial that's complemented by silver Arabic numeral markers, small minute indexes, luminous dagger hands (with seconds hand), date window at 4 o'clock, and three tonal chrono subdials. It's matched to a smooth black leather strap. Other features include the classic Swiss Army insignia at 12 o'clock, a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, and water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet)--suitable for swimming but not for diving.

Wenger Men's 74735 Calendar Series Watch Review

Wenger Men's 74735 Calendar Series Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm a pilot and bought this watch to follow GMT and local time. It's a solid watch, and unlike the other reviewer, I found the fit and finish to be nice. I paid around $90, shipping included, which seems like a good value to me.
Pros: Good Looking. Two Time Zones, 24 hour movement for one of the times. The calendar is a nice feature for instantly checking future dates in the same month.
Cons: The 24 hour hand moves when you reset the main time, so I have to adjust the 24 hour clock each time to maintain GMT on the 24 hour clock.
The glow in the dark parts of the watch are extremely weak, might as well not have it at all.
Minor gripe: When setting the calendar, you have to set it knowing it will move a little bit when screwing down the crown.

Wenger Men's 7470 Commando Chrono Swiss Watch Review

Wenger Men's 7470 Commando Chrono Swiss Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have owned this watch for almost a year now, I have to say its the best I have ever worn. I work in a factory and it sure gets abused, I have banged the face multiple times and it has never cracked or chipped. The leather band is nice, no cracks, no foul smell even with all the sweat, however I do not wear it in the shower. The buttons are very well spaced, not sharp, easy to push and easy to figure out. It keeps time very well only being off by a minute or so per time change. I have not replaced the battery yet so I know it will last at least a year. The digits on the face are very easy to read and the glow in the dark hands make it nice at night. One thing about this watch is how thick the case is, I like it but some may think its a bit thick, its over a quarter inch, maybe about 3/8".
Over all, If you want a rather classy look with swiss quality and not a lot of bells and whistles this is the watch for you.

This is a great watch for the price. It serves both a casual and a more dressy purpose. I did not go a full 5 stars because the leather belt looks like it will not stand regular use during a long period of time. Seller delivered promptly and the description was accurate.

Victorinox Swiss Army Women's 241257 Chron Classic Pink Mother-of-Pearl Dial Watch Review

Victorinox Swiss Army Women's 241257 Chron Classic Pink Mother-of-Pearl Dial Watch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This watch was a gift for my wife's 40th Birthday. She has long wanted a Swiss Army watch and she prefers the larger face to the tiny windows that are typical of watches for women. She is a flight attendant, so she actually uses her watch when traveling, not just for another piece of decoration. So far, she has been very pleased.
Although not my style personally, I believe this watch would be suitable for younger women where this size is more fashionable or for any woman who prefers a larger than normal watch face. Quality of the piece and the presentation of the packaging were very good.
The Amazon store from whom this watch was purchased, "MrWatch" I think, sent the item on time and used postal tracking so I could keep an eye out for it. I believe they have a 10% restocking fee for returns, which I am not crazy about, but understand. I do not believe they charge a restocking fee on exchanges, which is acceptable.
